We are saved for His name's sake

Our salvation is not primarily about us, it’s about God getting the glory that He alone is due (Romans 1:5).

God kept redeeming Israel despite their rebellion because He had graciously attached His name to them through His covenant with them (Ezekiel 20). Likewise, God has attached His name to those who are in Christ. He has set His seal, the Holy Spirit, on them. We can be confident that He will be faithful to all His promises to this end. In Jesus, all His promises find their yes and amen. He will never forsake His own.
